Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College
The Defence Sixth Form College (Welbeck) has become one of the UK's top sixth form colleges with an outstanding academic reputation. Welbeck teaches a science and technology based A-level curriculum designed to prepare students for a technical degree at a leading UK university; providing a head start into training for a career with the MOD Civil Service or the Armed Forces.
Civil Service Welbexians are expected to transfer to the Defence Technical Undergraduate Scheme (DTUS) to study for an approved degree and will receive an annual bursary plus paid summer placements. Following graduation you will join the prestigious MoD Defence Engineering and Science Graduate Scheme (DESG).
To apply to Welbeck as a civil service candidate you will need:
- 'A' Grade or better at GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics.
- 'B' Grade or better in dual award Science or Physics.
- 'C' Grade or better in English Language.
