  • Slides 16-19

Delivery

  • Explain that it is important to remember that the people who have died fighting for Britain over the ages have secured many of our freedoms today.
  • Ask students to suggest freedoms that we enjoy today which have been protected by those that have died in conflicts.
  • Display Slides 17-20 which contain images of different freedoms which may have been lost.
  • The freedoms which the images represent are:
    • Freedom of speech
    • Freedom of religion
    • Freedom of movement
    • Democracy - the freedom to choose who governs the country.
