Required Resources

  • Slides 12-15

Delivery

  • Students rejoin their groups and take it in turns to feedback their findings whilst the other students take brief notes.
  • Presenting students could be asked to practice choosing the most important points from information which they have gathered by planning three headings and talking briefly around each one. They can also be encouraged to present their information in diagrammatic form (e.g. as spider diagram).
  • Display Slides 12-15 which provides information on the events leading to the end of the First World War.

Differentiation

Lower Ability:

Lower ability students may struggle with presenting the information which they have gathered in which case they should be provided with guidance when planning their presentation and identifying which information to include.

Higher Ability:

Higher ability students could be encouraged to undertake further research on the advance which they are presenting on. They should use a number of sources including the internet and the school library.
