Explore, analyse and imagine
4. Interviews
Required Resources
- Student Worksheet 10
Delivery
- Divide students into their pairs and ask them to conduct the interviews. The interviewer should listen to the interviewee's responses and complete the feedback form on Student Worksheet 10. Students should be reminded to ensure that their feedback is constructive.
- Whilst the interviews are being carried out, circulate around the class and observe the interactions, making suggestions or comments where appropriate.
- Students should swap roles and repeat.
- You could ask one or two pairs to perform their interviews in front of the class.
Differentiation
Lower Ability:
Lower ability pairs may struggle with conducting interviews which last 5 minutes so could be asked to perform shorter interviews instead.
Higher Ability:
With higher ability pairs you could suggest the interviewer poses some questions which had not been previously decided and ask the interviewee to provide ad-libbed answers, remaining in character.
