1. Starter - What is development?

  • Slides 1-2

Delivery

  • Ask students to think about what the word 'development' means and what can help to increase the level of development in a country. Their definitions should be written on a piece of paper. Ask a couple of students to read their definition out.
  • Now display Slide 2 which contains a definition of development. Ask students to compare this to their original definition.
