5. Plenary: Present and discuss

Required Resources

  • Student Worksheet 3

Delivery

  • Ask each group to present their designs to the rest of the class, pointing out how they have engaged with the 4 Rs in their design and what materials they have used.
  • The rest of the students should provide feedback, identify positive and negative aspects of their design, plus ideas for any improvements.
  • Conduct a quick class discussion asking students to consider other ways that the MOD might apply the 4 Rs, either in an operational area or in its Headquarters Building in Whitehall, London.

Differentiation

Lower Ability:

Some students may struggle with presenting their designs to the class, in this case distribute a copy of Student Worksheet 3 which provides some advice on how to present clearly and effectively.

Higher Ability:

If IT facilities are available, then higher ability students could be asked to produce a PowerPoint presentation for their design.
