Required Resources

• Video: Recycling of guns during Bosnia conflict
• Slides 10-13

Delivery

• Introduce the lesson topic - Recycling or Reusing materials to create something new.
• Display Slides 10-13 which explain the Ministry of Defence's (MOD's) Sustainable Development Plan and explain their commitment to recycling and reusing materials.
• Show students the Video which contains footage of the British Armed Forces seizing illegal guns in Bosnia and melting them down.
• Conduct a quick group discussion around the video, exploring the various military, social and environmental implications of recycling in this case.
