6. Plenary - A successful argument?

Required Resources

Delivery

  • Split students into pairs and ask them to consider which writing to argue or rhetorical techniques they found most effective.
  • Ask each pair to write down as many useful writing to argue words as they can think of (e.g. however, therefore, consequently).
  • After 2 minutes go around the class and ask each pair to feedback. List the words on the board.
  • Ask students to consider how the decisions made by MP's can commit soldiers to combat in other countries. Students should consider the difficulty of governmental responsibility.
