4: Mindmap

Required Resources

  • A3 paper for each group
  • Different coloured pens

Delivery

  • Distribute a sheet of A3 paper to each group and a different coloured pen to each member of the group. The different coloured pens should make it easy to check that all of the students have contributed.
  • Ask the students to remain in their groups and produce a mind map surrounding the following question:
    • Explain the different roles played by the ATA and the RAF during the Second World War.
  • Students should use the information they have gathered during Episode 2 and any extra information which they have noted down during the Q&A session to answer the question.
  • Explain to the students that the groups will be expected to use their mind map to present their judgements to the rest of the class.
  • Allow the groups 10 minutes to complete the mind map before asking the students to present back to the rest of the class.
  • Ask students to note down two positive pieces of feedback and one area for improvement for each presentation. Ask one or two students to offer their feedback after each presentation.
