3. Diversity in the World Wars - Duration 15-30 mins

Teacher instructs students to read Student Worksheet 1a-1b to identify the number of ethnic minorities who served in WW1. Students to discuss whether the British West Indies Regiment rebellion was justified. Use Student Worksheet 2 to learn about the contribution of ethnic minorities' to WW2 and to discuss whether students would fight for another country. Learn how recruitment of ethnic minorities has evolved since the World Wars and how the MOD works with the Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR) to improve racial equality practices.
