- 4. Presenting to the committee
Speaking and listening - group
4. Presenting to the committee
Required Resources
- Student Worksheet 2-3
Delivery
- Each group should take a turn to present their plan of action to the UN committee. All students within the presenting groups should be given the opportunity to speak. They must explain why they have suggested each allocation and why this is important. The committee should be encouraged to confer throughout the presentations.
- After all the groups have spoken, the committee should decide which Military Planning team has offered up the most robust plan. They must be able to justify all decisions and explain the strengths and weaknesses of individual team presentations.
- You may like to place a time limit on each presentation in order to ensure that all groups are given the opportunity to speak.
Differentiation
Lower Ability:
Although all students should speak during the presentation, you may like to be involved in the allocation of presenting responsibility to ensure that students of lower ability are given tasks commensurate with their ability level.
