This colourful site helps 7 to 9-year-olds rediscover the joy of traditional outdoor games

From Hide and Seek to It, traditional games meet with new playground favourites in this inspiring website for Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils. Playground Fun helps 7-9 year-olds re-discover the joy of group games.

Children from across the country are encouraged to add to the site using a unique 'game builder' tool. They might add games they have created themselves or possibly a different rhyme to be used with a game that is already featured on the site.

Playground Fun has developed into a wonderful resource for parents, educators and, most importantly, for children themselves.

Based on an original idea by the University of Glasgow, Playground Fun was developed by Learnthings.

Here's what The Times said about Playground Fun: "The website is colourful, well designed, packed with clear rules for games that are familiar to those of us born before even Pong or Pacman had been invented... As a piece of sociological research, it cannot be faulted, particularly as the website will expand its compendium massively over time."
