Development Producer
Damian joined Culture Online from the Office for National Statistics where he led the development of the award winning births, deaths and marriages website. Previously, he was the BBC's Executive Producer leading a team of senior producers for all round-the-clock interactive television services including BBC News Interactive, CBeebies, and text services across all digital TV platforms. In the field of Interactive TV, Damian is widely recognised as a pioneer and an industry expert.
As a web producer at the BBC, Damian gained particular expertise in online communities and the way in which they interact with their real-world counterparts. He worked with Radio 1, Cult TV and for Radio 4, where he enabled its site to launch in three weeks from conception.
Damian and his teams have won many awards, including the Royal Television Society, two BAFTA Interactive nominations, and the E-forum award for best site in the public sector.
Damian was originally a music journalist and runs Fly, an online global-music magazine which has been continuously published since 1995.
