creativity in classrooms

Using creative teaching methods can greatly improve learning.

Following concerns raised in a 1999 report, "All our futures: Creativity, culture and education", the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) were asked to look into teaching and learning practice in the classroom, including projects focusing on creativity and the arts.

We worked closely with QCA on these projects, which provided useful evidence of the benefits of arts education and creativity.

The results of the projects can be found on the QCA and National Curriculum websites, along with guidance on how to develop the arts and creativity in schools, so that all teachers can make use of the findings.
