The table below highlights several upcoming events that will contribute to meeting the commitments in Creative Britain and realising its ambitions.

 Date  Progress
 Spring 09 Report into business support for the creative industries to be published by the White Room on behalf of the Regional Development Agencies, DCMS and BERR. By highlighting and disseminating best practice, this report should help to improve the provision of business support for creative businesses. This will also meet commitment 13.
 July 09 The Local Government Association and Work Foundation will publish a Menu for Local Infrastructure (commitment 20). Aimed at Local Authorities, this tool-kit will provide practical advice and options for those authorities seeking to improve the performance of the Creative Industries in their area.
 July 09 Technology Strategy Board’s £5m Research and Development funding cycle due to end Themed around accessing and commercialising content, this fund will help innovation in the creative industries.
 Summer 09 The Art, Design and Media Higher Education Academy will publish the findings of research into higher education and the creative industries. This will provide valuable information and inform policy making in this area in the future.
 October 09 In November 2008, DCMS met with l25 high profile industry figures in Liverpool to discuss the focus and agenda for the first c&binet forum event in October 2009. See the cabinet website for more details.
