c&binet

The Creativity and Business International Network (C&binet) was launched in 2008. It meets Creative Britain commitment 24: to initiate the launch of a World Creative Business Conference.

C&binet (the Creativity and Business International Network)

C&binet is a network which links the international creative and commercial communities, to:

  • inspire new ideas and opportunities
  • demonstrate the economic power of creativity
  • help shape the world’s creative economy.

C&binet conference

The C&binet conference was held 26-28 October 2009. It brought together many of the world’s leading creative talents and business leaders from the creative and financial sectors to:

  • discuss the biggest issues affecting the creative economy
  • share ideas
  • build a common agenda
  • address challenges facing the creative industries.

In the last decade, UK creative industries contributed £60 billion a year to the economy. They have grown at twice the rate of the wider economy.

During the current economic downturn there are greater pressures to maintain growth and compete in the international markets.
