creative economy programme

We established the Creative Economy Programme (CEP) in 2005 to develop and implement a Government strategy for the creative industries.

This strategy was launched in February 2008 and published as Creative Britain: New Talents for the New Economy. It contains 26 commitments aiming to bring the Creative Industries from the margins to the mainstream of the UK economy.

The CEP is now implementing the Creative Britain strategy in partnership with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and a wide range of other organisations.

Follow the progress on implementing the strategy via our Creative Britain web pages.
