This guidance has been produced to help applicants complete the forms under the Licensing Act 2003. Information about different aspects of the Licensing Act is available separately.

Applicants should have regard to their Licensing Authority's "Licensing Policy Statement" when filling out their form, and should contact their local licensing officer for further guidance where necessary. Licensing authorities are usually part of your local authority.

Contact details for your local authority can be found on the Directgov website.

A list of industry specific guidance documents produced by trade bodies is available separately.

Application forms are also available separately.

To download the MS Word versions of the Guidance, Right-mouse button over the relevant document link and choose ' Save Target As...' , you'll then be able to save the document in the appropriate place on your computer and read it offline at your leisure.  Depending on how your computer is set-up to download documents, left-mouse button clicking on Word documents to open them may produce errors.
