- Gambling Commission
Regulates gambling for the public: keeping crime out of gambling; ensuring that gambling is conducted fairly and openly; and protecting children and vulnerable people. Issues licences to operators and individuals. Also provides independent advice to Government on gambling in the UK.
- Financial Services Authority
An independent body regulating the financial services industry in the UK, including spread betting, with a wide range of rule-making, investigatory and enforcement powers.
- Local authorities
License premises being used for gambling.
- Local authorities coordinators of regulatory services (LACORS)
Provides advice and guidance to support local authority regulatory and related services - which exist to ensure public protection.
- National Lottery Commission
Regulates the Lottery to ensure that players are treated fairly, their interests are protected, and that the operator is selected and motivated to maximise the benefits that the Lottery brings to the nation.

- Association of British Bookmakers
The leading trade association representing bookmakers in the UK, helping sustain conditions in which socially responsible British bookmakers can compete and prosper.
- British Amusement Catering Trade Association (BACTA)
Represents the UK's pay-to-play leisure industry and is the largest gambling trade association. It aims to improve the image of the industry, encourage good practice (including responsible working practices) and help create the right trading environment for its members.
- British Casino Association
The association for the casino industry, with more than 90% of all operators of UK casinos as members. It provides the voice of its members in negotiations with various government departments, the media and other trade associations.
- Business in Sport and Leisure
An umbrella organisation representing the interests of over 100 private sector companies in the sport, leisure and hospitality industry, with working groups in employment, gaming, liquor licensing, property and sport.
- Casino Operators Association (COA)
Formed in 2001 to represent smaller casino operators.
- Lotteries Council
Provides help to those wishing to set up a lottery as part of a fundraising programme. It aims to represent the common interest of both large and small fund-raisers in all areas from charities to sporting bodies.
- Remote Gambling Association
Represents the world's largest and most well known remote gambling companies and provides the industry with a single voice on issues of importance to regulators, legislators, and key decision makers around the world.

- Citizens Advice
Helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free information and advice from nearly 3,400 locations, and by influencing policymakers.
- Gam-Anon
Support for those affected by someone else's gambling. A fellowship of men and women who are husbands, wives, relatives or close friends who have been affected by problem gambling.
- Gamblers Anonymous
A fellowship of men and women who have joined together to do something about their own gambling problem and to help other compulsive gamblers do the same.
- GamCare
A registered charity that takes a non-judgemental approach on gambling, and a leading authority on the provision of information, advice and practical help in addressing the social impact of gambling.
- Gordon House Association
Provides residential treatment for severely addicted gamblers, as well as providing outreach support and Internet counselling service.
- NCH Children's Charity (previously the National Children's Home)
Helps children achieve their full potential, through services that support some of the most vulnerable and excluded children in the UK.
- National Debtline
Provides free confidential and independent advice on how to deal with debt problems.
- Responsibility in Gambling Trust (RIGT)
Formerly known as The Gambling Industry Charitable Trust, the RIGT is an independent Trust, provided with voluntary funding by the Gambling Industry, to research and limit problem gambling RIGT is not a provider of treatment services.
- Telephone Helplines Association
Recognised as the main source of specialist information relating to the setting up and running of non-profit helplines in the UK and Ireland. Provides advice, consultancy and training on matters relating to the provision of quality helpline services for the voluntary and statutory sectors.
