advertising

We aim to help advertising sector create the right environment for it to flourish as a creative industry.

To do this, we work with the key industry bodies for the advertising sector including the Advertising Association, the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers and the Advertising Standards Authority

There has been a significant increase in the number of available advertising media in recent years; most notably, multi-channel TV and the internet. Working with the Advertising Association we are identifying how these new advertising media might create both opportunities and challenges to the industry.

We are also ensuring that the perspectives of the advertising sector are fed in to the "creative economy programme", and are taken into account as we move forward.
