What is Creative Partnerships?
Creative Partnerships brings school children and their teachers together with creative organisations and individuals to work in partnership on creative projects.

It is the DCMS and Arts Council England's flagship programme in the cultural education field. It aims to animate learning and enrich school life for children by making use of the creative talent we have in the UK.

More information is available on the Creative Partnerships website.

What does Creative Partnerships do for children and schools?
The opportunity to work with creative practitioners gives children opportunities to learn about and develop skills in creative activities they may not and film making.

Research has shown that as well as stimulating pupils’ imagination and interest in learning, this approach can help raise standards of attainment across the curriculum.

It is particularly effective in reaching young people at risk of exclusion who often reject the academic approach.

This process has been shown to engage teachers in a new way too, promoting creativity in teaching and improving teacher recruitment.

What does it do for cultural and creative organisations?
Creative Partnerships is an opportunity for an organisation to work closely with a school and develop a long-term relationship that benefits them both.

How can I get involved?
If you’re a creative practitioner or cultural organisation, you can contact your local area office directly or via an email form on the Creative Partnerships website.
