Quinquennial Review of the BTA

In 2001, a Quinquennial Review was carried out by the British Tourist Authority (BTA), a Non-Departmental Public Body that exists to maximise the revenue from overseas tourists visiting Britain and to assist the industry in offering high quality, competitive products and services.

Stage one of the review looked at the Authority's role and functions, how these functions can best be carried out, and the efficiency and effectiveness of the way in which the Authority delivers its services, and makes recommendations for its future development and management.
