Sports Cabinet
Sports Cabinet is responsible for identifying strategic priorities and will bring together Sports Ministers from the four parts of the UK and others closely involved in the development of UK sport.
The membership comprises Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport (Chairman) and the four Home Country Ministers with responsibility for sport. The Chairs of the Home Country Sports Councils, also attend in the capacity as observers to hear discussions on some of the items. However responsibility for decision making rests solely with Ministers.
Sports Cabinet should meet when business required, but the expectation would be that this should be around 2 to 3 times a year.
