Wembley stadium
The construction and operation of the new national stadium at Wembley is the responsibility of Wembley National Stadium Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary of the Football Association.
The new 90,000 seat stadium for football, rugby league and athletics is scheduled for completion in 2006. The £757 million project is receiving £161 million of public funding from the following sources:
- £120 million from the Sports Lottery Fund
- £21 million from the London Development Agency
- £20 million from the DCMS for non-stadium infrastructure.
