The Independent Football Commission (IFC)
After the Football Task Force Report of December 2000, the Government decided that football needed a body which could consider complaints from fans which are not adequately dealt with by existing customer care problems.
An independent, non statutory regulator was established and the Independent Football Commission was launched on 13 March 2002 at West Ham United Football Club.
Its Chair, appointed through open competition, is Professor Derek Fraser. The Chair appoints the rest of the Commissioners.
The IFC is funded by the Football Foundation and operates from the offices in Stockton-On-Tees.
