Digital Britain Implementation Update - December 2009

On 16 June 2009, the Government published the Digital Britain White Paper, setting out over 80 recommendations for action, with the ambition of securing the UK’s position as one of the world’s leading digital knowledge economies.

Following publication of the White Paper, the Government published an update on progress at the end of June and and Implementation Plan in August.

Implementation Plan

The Implementation Plan broke down the recommendations in the White Paper into a number of projects, identified the lead for each project, and set out the governance arrangements for the programme moving forward, including the composition of the Programme Board and the Digital Partner Contact Group.
This update reports on progress on the implementation of the Digital Britain Programme since the summer.
