Video games classification consultation responses

As part of the Government's implementation of the Byron Review recommendations, on children and new media, the Department for Culture Media and Sport has pulled together views from gamers, children, parents, the games industry, retailers and other stakeholders on the current classification system for video games.

The Consultation has now ended and the Government response has been published.

We received a high quantity of feedback and processed 67 responses which are listed below, we are unable to publish 3 of these due to the documents containing material of commercial confidentiality. Of the sample of 67, the number of responses from each sector was as follows:

Video games industry - 19, Regulators - 6, Children's interest groups - 6, Film industry - 2, Members of the public - 16, Other groups/societies - 18
