The Digital Britain report notes that a way of potentially boosting a sustainable content production base in the Nations involves a change in status for certain production companies.
This consultation document seeks your views on whether the legislative definition of “independent producer” should be amended to extend to production companies that are wholly owned by broadcasters who hold a relevant Channel 3 licence.
Responses are also invited on the draft Parliamentary order intended to give effect to the proposal.
