Consultation on the Extension of Public Lending Right to Rights Holders of Books in Non-print Formats

The Government rResponse and individual responses to the Consultation on the Extension of Public Lending Right to Rights Holders of Books in Non-print Formats and individula responses have been published. [19 November 2009

This consultation paper seeks the opinions of stakeholders across the UK on policy proposals to:

Extend eligibility for Public Lending Right (PLR) to non-print books, in particular audiobooks and e-books;
Extend PLR to the lending rights holders in respect of these non-print works where they are not currently eligible under the PLR Scheme.
