Final date for applications for new casinos under 1968 Act - Consultation Paper

The Gambling Act 2005 introduces a new system of regulation for casinos, which replaces the current rules set out in the Gaming Act 1968.

On 10 November 2005, the Secretary of State announced her intention to set a final date in April 2006 for applications under the 1968 Act for certificates of consent in respect of new casinos. This draft order would give effect to that policy.
