Tourism Statistics Review

This review is the first part of an initiative whose aim is to improve tourism data. It follows from the identification of tourism data as a key priority at meetings between Ministers and the tourism Industry at Hartwell House.

The first part of the initiative is a project to review tourism statistics. This will compare user needs with the range of statistics which are currently available. This is being carried out in partnership with the tourism industry, regional bodies and the devolved administrations.

The review is being run under guidance of a steering group whose representatives are from industry, tourist boards and tourism organisations. The consultation process will include interviews with a cross-section of key users, as well as an invitation to all to contribute via the questionnaire.

For fuller details of the Initiative, see the Tourism Statistics Review Project Initiation Document PDF (107kb)

If you are a user of tourism data, your contribution will be most welcome:
Tourism Statistics Review Consultation Questionnaire PDF (42kb).
Tourism Statistics Review Consultation Questionnaire MS Word Version (219kb)

This consultation is now closed. The deadline was Friday 12 September 2003 For further details, contact Vicky Coates
