Cultural Business Venture

Working in partnership with the Princes Trust, this scheme provides financial support to small and medium sized creative enterprises.

Capital North East

The region’s venture capital fund has £15m to make first investments, of not more than £250,000 with the potential to make follow-on investments of a further £250,000, in high growth small and medium sized enterprises. The fund is managed by Northern Enterprises Ltd.

The UK Film Council invests £7.5 million a year into regional film activities through the Regional Investment Fund for England (RIFE). Through RIFE the agencies will be able to provide a variety of resources aimed at developing public access to and education about film and the moving image. These funds will include: production funding; exhibition development funding; education project funds; archive development funds; training and development funds; and funds for audience development.
