Estelle Morris Welcomes Appointment Of Tom Bewick As Skills Chief

Culture Minister Estelle Morris today welcomed the appointment of Tom Bewick as Chief Executive of Creative and Cultural Industries Limited, the Sector Skills Council (SSC) in Development for the Arts, Music, Crafts, Design, Museums and Cultural Heritage.

She said:

“I am delighted that Tom Bewick has agreed to take on this vital role for the Creative and Cultural Industries. His leadership will be key to the establishment of the Sector Skills Council and I wish him every success.”

“The creative and cultural industries play a significant part in the economy of the UK, its quality of life and education. The new Sector Skills Council will be a valuable partner for employers and individuals from the sector in achieving excellence, innovation and greater productivity.  I shall be looking to employers to give their fullest support to the work that Tom and his team will be doing to ensure that the workforce in the creative and cultural industries has the skills it needs now and in the future.”
