Film Certification: Schedule 1
To qualify for certification, a film must fulfil the criteria set out under Schedule 1 to the Films Act 1985.
Please note if your film began principal photography on or after 1st April 2006 you should apply for a certificate using the new 'Revised Schedule 1' which introduces a new Cultural Test for British Films.
Everything following on this page relates to the old Schedule 1.

Application forms
The application form for qualifying as a British film under Schedule 1 is available in hardcopy only.
You can request a hardcopy application form by emailing your postal address and which application form you require to chantel.burrell@culture.gsi.gov.uk.
NB: Please note the application form is only available in hardcopy and can not be emailled.
