Taxation and Regulation


DCMS is liaising with HM Customs and Excise and  Inland Revenue to monitor issues of taxation and regulation that affect the Creative Industries.

 
This includes the implementation of the E-commerce Directive http://www.hmce.gov.uk/business/electronic/electronic.htm
 
 
And the definition of research and development for tax purposes http://www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/consult/irtnrd33.htm
 
DCMS will continue to monitor and bring to the industries attention issues of taxation and regulation.
