National Railway Museum, York
Eight-year-old Christopher from Liverpool visited the National Railway Museum in York. He went with his mum, dad and little sister Emma.
Christopher is “mad about trains” and even travelled on a train to get there!
This is the biggest train museum in the world. There are over 100 trains and 200 carriages that give a brilliant history of trains, in the UK and abroad.
Christopher loved every minute of it and can’t wait to go back. He said: “There was so much to see and do. My mum loved looking inside Queen Victoria’s train, but I thought the Japanese bullet train was best. And you can climb inside the cab.”
He also said that his sister “really enjoyed the play area for young children, as she loves Thomas the Tank engine.”
The National Railway Museum is open daily (except Christmas) from 10am to 6pm. Admission is free for everyone, except for special exhibitions. For more information visit http://www.nrm.org.uk or call 08448 153139.
Christopher is now an official Break.out! reporter and will receive a Break.out! reporter's certificate. Why not join the club?
