Trusts and Foundations


UK grant-giving trusts and foundations provide significant financial support for the arts.  

 
The Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) promotes good practice among trusts and foundations and seeks to educate the public about their work. ACF's website contains useful tips on how to apply for funds and a list of charitable organisations.
 
Below is a small selection of some of the major UK trusts who provide funding for the arts. See their websites for details of what they fund and how to apply.

The Directory of Social Change (DSC) is a registered charity which provides information and training to the UK voluntary sector. It has published a number of detailed guides on grant-making trusts, along with a CD:ROM and a website that you can access through paying an annual subscription.
