Better Public Buildings
In 1999 the Prime Minister said that he was "determined that good design should not be confined to high profile buildings in the big cities: all of the users of public services, wherever they are, should be able to benefit from better design."
The Better Public Buildings Report, was published in October 2000 and calls for a change in the quality of building design in the public sector. This document shows that good design provides many benefits and is not a costly luxury. 'Better Public Buildings' has been issued widely to all those with an interest in, or responsibility for, the quality of building design.
