creative economy programme

The creative economy programme is the first step in achieving our goal of making the UK the world's creative hub.

The programme focuses on seven issues that are the key drivers of productivity in the creative industries.

We have created groups for each of these seven issues drawing on expertise from across the DCMS family of non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs), other Government Departments, the Government Offices for the regions and other stakeholders.

The creative economy programme website contains the latest information on all of the programme's work.

On 6 December 2006, Andrew Gowers published his independent review of the UK Intellectual Property Framework.

All those with an interest in the Creative Industries are welcome to review and comment on the progress made so far.
