Sharm el-Sheikh attacks
We are working closely with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the British Red Cross and a number of other organisations to offer support to the families of the victims and all those affected by the attacks which took place in Egypt on 23 July 2005. We will ensure that they receive the best possible help.
A national memorial service for those who were killed and injured in the Sharm el-Sheikh bombings (as well as the Kusadasi, Turkey and Doha, Qatar bombings) will be held on Wednesday 20 September 2006. For information about the service please contact the Assistance Centre on 0845 054 7444.
The Assistance Centre, which provides support for those affected by both the 7 July London bombings and the attacks in Sharm el-Sheikh, provides face-to-face contact with trained counsellors and support organisations, and appointments can be booked through the support line.
