6. Survey content

The main sectors for which data are gathered in the "Taking part" survey are:
  • Arts
  • Museums and galleries
  • Libraries
  • Archives
  • Heritage
  • Sport

For each of these sectors, data are collected regarding the frequency of participation and attendance and the reasons why people do and do not participate and attend.

In addition to these sectors, data are also gathered on a variety of other sectors and topics. These include:

  • Social capital
  • Engagement in various sectors while growing up
  • Volunteering
  • Broadcasting
  • Gambling
  • Olympics
  • Licensing
  • Demographics
