Time-use survey

The results of this analysis of participation in cultural and sporting activities, which we commissioned, are presented in two reports.

The first contains analysis that investigates particular participation questions, and also, more generally, identifies the most important factors that predict sporting and cultural participation.

The second is of the findings of a more detailed investigation. Statistical techniques were used in order to group individuals according to likelihoods of undertaking types of activities. Social characteristics associated with these tendencies are also identified.

A statistical release containing a summary of findings can be downloaded from this page, as can the full reports.
