47th Horserace Betting Levy Scheme - Report to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport by Organisation Consulting Partnership

The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport has been required to determine the 47th Horserace Betting Levy (the levy on bookmakers' profits on horseracing which funds the sport of racing) since the racing and betting industries were unable to agree on a suitable level.

Organisation Consulting Partnership (OCP) was employed by DCMS on a consultancy basis to review the submissions of the British Horseracing Authority and the Bookmakers' Committee of the Levy Board, and other interested parties, and to provide recommendations to the Secretary of State on a suitable level for the Levy settlement for 2008/09.

This is the OCP's report, submitted in January 2008.
