Gambling Act 2005 Permits: Training Materials for Licensing Authorities

This is the second package of training materials produced by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to assist licensing authority officers and councillors in undertaking their new responsibilities under the Gambling Act 2005 (the Act).

The first package entitled The Gambling Act 2005: Training Materials for Licensing Authorities dealt with licensing authorities’ responsibilities under part 8 of the Gambling Act, which concerned the granting, issuing and maintenance of premises licences. This pack focuses on licensing authorities responsibilities to issue various types of permits.

Please note that these are training materials only, not guidance. They are not mandatory but licensing authorities are encouraged to use the information contained in this training pack and adapt them to suit their own needs.
