DCMS has today published a Technical Paper summarising the gender differences in, participation in and attitudes towards, towards gambling. This is the second report prepared from the 2004 NOP survey commissioned by DCMS in February 2004.
The publications reports on three matters. First, it shows the extent to which women participate in alternative forms of gambling at different rates from men. Second, it displays men's and women's attitudes towards different types of gambling. Third, it describes the extent to which men and women favour stricter or less strict control over various types of gambling.
