2 Minute silence for victims of the London bombings

Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Tessa Jowell and Mayor of London Ken Livingstone today announced a two-minute silence for victims of the London bombings to take place on Thursday 14 July 2005 at 12 pm London time.

This will also include a two minute silence across the transport network out of respect for those who lost their lives in the tragedy.

Tessa Jowell has been put in charge of government support for the families of victims of the London bombings and is working closely with the Metropolitan Police, the Mayors office and voluntary agencies as part of her role.
