This paper forms part of the consultation on the department’s proposals under sections 235(5), 240 and 241 of The Gambling Act 2005. Section 235(5) sets out our proposal on how one player position will constitute one gaming machine, section 241 will prohibit the supply and installation of any gaming machine on which a credit or debit card can be used, and section 240 explains our detailed proposals on the circumstances in which a gaming machine is made available for use.
