Gambling Act 2005: Consultation on Draft Regulations under sections 235(5), 240 and 241 of the Gambling Act 2005

This consultation has now ended. The consultation period was 17 May - 1 June 2007

Part 10 of the Gambling Act 2005 contains a variety of provisions about gaming machines.

 

These draft Regulations form part of the consultation on the Department’s proposals under sections 235(5), 240 and 241 of The Gambling Act 2005. The draft Regulations seek to: set out how one player position will constitute one gaming machine under section 235(5); prohibit the supply and installation of any gaming machine on which a credit or debit card can be used under section 241; and set out the circumstances in which a gaming machine is made available for use under section 240. The draft section 240 Regulations are accompanied by a draft Regulatory Impact Assessment.
