I speak as a mother of a 3 year old and a 1 year old.
I find the Cbeebies channel absolutely excellent.
My 3 year old is a regular watcher in particular of Tikkabilla and StoryMakers.
I find the content is a good mix of entertainment and education and I am so pleased that it does NOT rely on cartoons and US made programming.
I know that I can leave my child alone in a room for a few moments safely watching CBeebies, knowing that there will be no contentious language or stereotypes that I might have to explain later.
I feel that the programmes suit the target audience absolutely.
I am also pleased that the channel finishes in the early evening, unllike some of the other preschool channels, which reinforces the importance of an early bed time!!
A quick word in favour of Chris Jarvis, one of the presenters....an excellent presenter and talented songsmith for the under 5's!
