I think the digital TV services provided by the BBC are very good. However, I am totally against the switching off of the analogue transmissions. I have a large number of devices which would be useless after such a switch off. The main problem I have with digital transmissions is that they either work fine or fail totally. (By 'fail totally' I mean it is impossible to enjoy watching a digital programme when the signal is not strong enough as the picture freezes and the sound gets interrupted.) At least with analogue transmissions your brain gets the chance to compensate for any degradation to the picture and sound. With digital it doesn't. Hope these comments help.
